Beginning the year with dear ones and a great breakfast created a warm tingling in our hearts we wished we could save it in a jar and use it for rainy days.
Here's what we were up to...
Pan-fried black pepper ham
Sauteed mushrooms yet again
Glorious glorious cheese baked bread
And our weak attempt at toad in a hole
It was difficult to get the egg cooked. The bottom of the bread was charring even before the egg coagulated.
Set on a rescue mission, we slipped the 'toad in a hole's out of the pan and into the oven on a baking tray.
They turned out better, though still missing the mark!
It is always fun to try something new, though it didn't turn out the way we expected.
Don't you agree? If you do, here's toad in a hole for you!
